O'Brien Calls For Patience

Bolton Wanderers defender Andy O'Brien says that the club must not start panicking at the start they have made to the season following Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Birmingham City at St Andrews, their fifth loss in six.

The Republic of Ireland international started his first game for the club at the weekend and he beleives the Trotters need to be patient if they are to get out of the mess they currently find themselves in.

Only Derby County stop Bolton from being rock bottom but O'Brien says there is still a long way to go and still time for the club to change their position for the better.

"We are not going to get carried away with the fact that we haven't won as many games as we'd like." said the former Bradford City and Newcastle United man

"Manchester United didn't have a very good start. We have to be patient. It's about the whole season and it's how you cope with disappointments"

O'Brien signed for the Wanderers from Portsmouth at the end of August for £1.2 million
