Wanderers striker Kevin Davies was quick to praise team mate Ivan Campo after the experienced Spaniard made a goalscoring return to the team in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Campo had failed to feature in Bolton's plans prior to yesterday's game and was even allowed to speak with the Qatar Sports Club at the start of the season.

Bolton manager Sammy Lee had a sudden change of heart and recalled the former Real Madrid ace to the starting line up against Spurs and Davies was glad to see Campo back in the Wanderers colours.

"Ivan is a top class player, he pulled the strings today" said Davies to the official Bolton website

"He is a great passer of the ball and it was a fantastic header as well. I thought our attitude was much improved and the workrate and desire was there for all to see"

Davies himself is just coming back into the Wanderers team after a number of weeks out with a hamstring injury. The Tottenham game was only the second league start of the season for the ex-Southampton man.
