Wolves Coach Evans Joins Bolton

The man who helped to launch the careers of the likes of Robbie Keane, Joleon Lescott and Lee Naylor will be making his way to Bolton Wanderers after Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed that their long serving Academy manager Chris Evans was leaving Molineux to take up a more senior role at the Reebok Stadium.

The 45-year old Welshman pitched up in the Black Country in 1990 as part of Graham Turner's youth coaching staff and he has overseen the careers of many young players ever since.

His own league career which took in spells with Arsenal, Stoke City, York City and Darlington was ended prematurely in 1986 and he later turned to coaching in order to remain in football.

Whilst at York he played alongside current Wanderers coach Ricky Sbragia in the Minstermen defence and it was during his three years at Bootham Crescent that he had the most successful spell of his playing days.
