Reserves At Home To Blackburn

Bolton Wanderers reserves play their fifth successive game at the County Ground this evening when they take on Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers in what will be the penultimate game prior to the annual winter shut down.

The winter break could not come soon enough for Jimmy Phillips side as they have not won in the FA Premier Reserve league all season and the last game, a 3-1 defeat against Middlesbrough, did little to help matters.

Swiss international Blerim Dzemaili makes his first appearance in Bolton colours following his summer move from FC Zurich. The midfielder has been sidelined for the most part of the campaign with a knee ligament injury sustained whilst with his previous club but the game against Rovers will help him to build up his match fitness.

Forward Johann Smith is suspended after receiving his marching orders from the last game against Boro so coach Phillips will be without his services for this evening.

Dzemaili's former international collegue Bruno Berner is the only experienced face in Blackburn's line up although Keith Treacy has had spells out on loan in the Coca Cola Leagues.
