Anelka Reaffirms Bolton Happiness

Top scorer Nicolas Anelka has once again claimed that he is happy to be part of the Bolton Wanderers squad whilst also reserving a moment of praise for the job Trotters manager Gary Megson has done since taking over the club just over a month ago.

Anelka scored his ninth goal of the season during yesterday's 4-1 win over local rivals Wigan Athletic and that now lifts the Trotters up a few places in the Premier League table.

The 28-year old has been heavily linked to a number of clubs in readiness for next month's transfer window, despite only having signed an extention to his current contract in August.

Speaking to reporters after the game against the Latics, Anelka was full of praise and stated that the side was showing signs of improvement under Megson's management.

"I am happy here, It is nice for me because there is a good understanding in the dressing room. I will never forget what Bolton have done for me because they gave me the chance to come back to England and play football here." said the former Arsenal and Manchester City goalgetter

Anelka beleives Bolton have now turned the corner and have the potential to become one of the league's most feared sides once again.

"Since the new manager came in, we have become much more compact,We have started to keep clean sheets again, which is important, and maybe we are getting  back to the situation where no-one likes to play Bolton."

Bolton travel to one of Anelka's former clubs Manchester City on Saturday afternoon. City have already beaten Bolton in the Carling Cup this term and the Wanderers will be hoping for revenge at the City of Manchester Stadium.
