Nolan Praises Comeback Kid Dzemaili

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan has praised the attitude and work ethic of fellow midfielder Blerim Dzemaili after the Swiss international began his comeback from a long term knee injury recently.

The Trotters signed Dzemaili on a pre-contract agreement from FC Zurich last February but a cruciate knee ligament injury picked up during one of his final games for his former club meant that the 21-year old has spent a lengthy spell out of action.

Dzemaili has featured in the Wanderers recent reserve games against Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City and Nolan is looking forward to working with the Macedonia-born star.

"It's been a tough time for him. He hasn't really got to know the lads on a day-to-day basis, He's been in the gym working his socks off and I've been really impressed with his determination to get fit. Hopefully, we will see a lot more of him over the coming weeks and months." said Nolan when questioned about his team mate.

It is likely that Dzemaili will be handed his chance over the hectic Christmas and New Year period but if he plays he will not be the first Swiss national to represent the club as that honour falls to Gaetano Giallanza who played three games whilst on loan from FC Nantes in 1998.
