The results from the last round of fixtures played in the UEFA Cup group stages means that Bolton Wanderers have qualified for the next stage of the competition and await their opponents in Friday's lunchtime draw.
Bayern Munich demolished Greek side Aris Thessaloniki 6-0 at the Allianz Arena whilst Sporting Braga earned a 2-0 win over bottom club Red Star Belgrade meaning Bolton finish in third place of Group F having completed their fixtures just under a fortnight ago.
This latest feat matches the achievements of two years ago when the club made the final 32 of this competition before eventually going out over two legs against Olympique Marseille.
The format of the competition remains the same in the final stages with the clubs facing each other on a home and away basis right up until the final which will be played at the City of Manchester Stadium, home of Wanderers local rivals Manchester City.
