Boss Wants Dzemaili Improvement

Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson has told Swiss international Blerim Dzemaili to knuckle down in order to secure a regular place for his club and country following a long time out of action with a knee ligament injury.

Dzemaili made the return to first team action as a substitute during last month's FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United and Megson has challenged the former FC Zurich player to up his game ahead of this summer's European Championships.

The 21-year old was linked with a pre-transfer deadline move to Fulham and German club Hertha Berlin but Megson beleives the youngster should stay at the Reebok Stadium and show what he can do.

"I can understand his frustrations because of the Euros this year. But I will always do what's best for Bolton rather than the individuals. He needs to knuckle down here and show what he can do." said Megson

Bolton signed the player on a pre-contract agreement almost a year ago but the injury has meant that the midfielder hasn't had the best of starts during his time in England.
