A summer of transfer frustration worsened today with the news that long-term Israeli target Yossi Benayoun was beleived to be in talks with Bolton's Premiership rivals West Ham.

The exciting goalscoring midfielder is likely to move over to the Premiership this summer, after a top football agent took over his registration from the Spanish club Racing Santander.

Bolton are already beleived to have made a bid of £1.8 million for the player, but this has, it seems, been rejected in favour of West Ham's bid which is nearly a million pounds higher.

Clubs such as Liverpool and Spurs have also casted a keen interest in Benayoun over the last year.
