Former Target Wants Reds Move

Zambian striker Collins Mbesuma has revealed that he is using his recent move to Portsmouth as a stepping stone for bigger things.

Mbesuma recently rejected a move to Bolton in favour of a move to the South Coast, and it hasn't taken him very long to create controversy just a week after moving from South African club Kaizer Cheifs.

The 21-year old admitted that he has been an ardent follower of Manchester United throughout his life, and hopes that his move to England will one day lead to a dream move to Old Trafford.

"Playing for United has been my childhood dream, I will work hard to make an impact in The Premiership to ensure I move on to play for United" said Mbesuma to Sky Sports.

His comments could well have been taken out of context by media sources, but rightly or wrongly this will not go down too well with his new employers at Fratton Park who signed him on a long term deal to replace star Nigerian striker Yakubu.
