Bolton Keen To Keep Youngster

Bolton will not allow young midfielder Joey O'Brien to depart the Reebok Stadium on another loan arrangement following renewed interest from Sheffield Wednesday.

The Irish U21 international had a successful spell with the Owls last season before coming back to Bolton at the latter end of the campaign. Recent rumours had been rife that the 19-year old would once again make the temporary move over to Hillsbrough but this seems less likely.

O'Brien has been told that he will feature more regularly in Bolton's Premiership plans following a solid cameo appearance in the final game of last season against Everton, in which he impressed as a late substitute.
