Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that he wants to bring Besiktas defender Juanfran to the Reebok Stadium on a season long loan deal.

The Spaniard is one of a number of players who are of interest to the Wanderers boss as he looks to pep up the size of the squad in time for the Premiership re-start in a few weeks from now.

Juanfran has the right amount of experience which Bolton will need for the months ahead, having won international honours with his country and appearing in the La Liga for the likes of Valencia and Celta Vigo.

Allardyce told the official site that he hopes a deal can be agreed.

"We are interested in signing Juan Fran on a 12-month loan. It will come down to the financial package and the fitness levels of the player on whether the deal can be progressed" he said
