Former Players On The Move

Former Bolton Wanderers defenders Mark Fish and Leam Richardson have found themselves new clubs by joining Ipswich Town and Accrington Stanley respectively.

One time South African international Fish has joined Ipswich on a months loan after being deemed surplus to requirements at Charlton Athletic, whilst Richardson has been offered a permanent deal with Accrington following his release from Blackpool.

Fish has been in England for the past eight years and has played in the Premiership with both Bolton and Charlton. A serious injury last season threatened to end his career but he has since fought back to be on the fringes of the Charlton team.

However, the defensive partnership of Talal El-Karkouri and Jon Fortune is preferred by Addicks manager Alan Curbishley going into the new season, so Fish has been allowed to sign for Joe Royle's team as a replacement for the injured Canadian Jason De Vos.

Richardson played a handful of games for Bolton during their promotion season of 2000-2001, but was later loaned out to Notts County and Blackpool when the Wanderers reached the Premiership. He made the move to Bloomfield Road a permanent one in the summer of 2003 but injuries blighted his second spell with the Seasiders.

The Leeds-born full-back has since been training with Accrington over the close season after being released by Blackpool at the end of 2004-2005.
