Bolton Wanderers could be set to add another Japanese international to their squad to follow on from the signing of Hidetoshi Nakata earlier this week.
Feyenoord's unsettled midfielder Shinji Ono is beleived to have held talks with Bolton manager Sam Allardyce over a possible move to the Reebok Stadium just two weeks before closure of the this months transfer window.
The 25-year old has been playing at the Stade De Kuip for the past four years but seems likely to be moving on following a disagreement with the club's management team.
Ono, who previously played for Urawa Reds in the J-league, has scored 19 goals in 108 appearances whilst in Holland's Eredivisie League.
