Bolton striker Kevin Davies has revealed that he is looking forward to lining up alongside the Japanese superstar Hidetoshi Nakata.

Davies beleives that Bolton's latest recruit can offer the team something different in the season ahead and has hinted that the player may well feature in Sunday's opening home game against local rivals Everton.

"There's been a lot of hype about him," said Davies to Sky Sports

"Personally, I've not seen him play before so I think we're all looking forward to it.

"He's going to give us something different, maybe offer the team something a little bit different, so we're looking forward to it. I've not seen him train yet but I think he'll be training towards the end of the week and hopefully be available on Sunday."

Nakata joined Bolton from Fiorentina earlier on this week after spending the last seven years in the Serie A league with the likes of Perugia, Roma and Bologna amongst others on his impressive CV.
