Jared Borgetti has promised Bolton Wanderers that his last gasp goal against Lokomotiv Plovdiv is just the start of many as he is now aiming to get off the mark in the Premiership.

Borgetti struck in the final minute of last night's first leg clash against Loko to hand Bolton the win in their first ever game in the UEFA Cup and the experienced South American has promised that there is more where that came from.

"I've been wanting to score to prove the manager's confidence in me, and for all the people who believed in me before I came here." he told the official website

"I know I have to score in the Premier League because that is where you prove yourself as a striker, but this is the first of many goals for me."

The Mexican international beleives that he can prove himself more in front of goal if he is given further opportunities to impress in the first team line up.

"I know my role. I'm a goalscorer, that's my nature, and although this is only my first goal, I know I have to score more.

"I feel that by playing more and more, I know I can prove myself."
