Wanderers Manager Wants Nolan Capped

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has called for England coach Sven Goran Eriksson to take another look at Kevin Nolan after the midfielder hit his ninth goal of the season in Saturday's draw at Arsenal.

The 23-year old has been in good form for the most part of the season and has always shown good consistency in front of goal since the Wanderers made the step up to the Premiership four and a half years ago.

Allardyce feels that Eriksson should give the Trotters skipper a chance to stake a claim in the Three Lions World Cup squad in Germany this summer.

"He was outstanding and he is our leading scorer from the centre of midfield - that says a lot for him and for us." said Allardyce

"England is a big ask for him and Sven should look at him to see whether he is good enough to get in the squad."
