Bolton reserves crashed to defeat in the battle of the Wanderers last night as Wolves ran out 1-0 winners at the County Ground in Leyland.

Midfielder Stephen Gleeson scored the all important goal just before the hour for the Black Country outfit with an excellent curling effort which left Trotters keeper Przemyslaw Kazmierczak with no chance at all.

Kazmierczak had earlier thwarted Kevin O'Conner on two seperate occasions in the first half with defenders Bradley Hill and Jarostaw Fojut both going close at the other end just after the interval.

The game marked a return to action for Bolton's Danish star Henrik Pedersen who has been missing with achillies trouble since the end of October. Pedersen played the opening half before being replaced by James Sinclair.
