The Search For Bolton’s Wildest Fan
Sure Sport For Men launches search to find The Trotter’s most passionate football fan
With the World Cup in Germany just months away, Sure Sport For Men is searching for Bolton’s ‘Wildest fan’. The winner will go on to compete against fans from all over the country for the chance to become a pundit on TalkSport during the tournament. They will become the king of the stands and the most famous football fan in the country.
From the 12th of February Sure Sport For Men will search for the Bolton’s most passionate fan – the person whose life revolves around 3pm on a Saturday, who sings loudest, celebrates hardest and lives every moment of the game. To compete in the competition fans just need to send a picture of themselves which truly captures their love for the game and their team by visiting www.surewildestfan.co.uk. This could be celebrating as a goal flies in, rallying behind the team as they go one nil down or even commiserating after a last minute 3-2 defeat. Pictures must be uploaded to the site by March 24th for the chance to be named the UK’s Wildest Fan.
To kick off the search, Stuart Clarke, a specialist in football fan photography has been collecting images of potential champions at The Reebok. The photos he takes will be placed online at www.surewildestfan.co.uk and entered into the competition alongside the ones emailed in. Football fans can log onto the site to vote for their favourite. By voting they will get the chance to watch their football for free next year with 20 season tickets up for grabs courtesy of Sure Sport For Men.*
Stuart Clarke stated; “I have been photographing fans in the stands for over 10 years now and the Sure Sport For Men search for the UK’s wildest fan is great. Some of these people are real characters and it’s about time they got the recognition they deserve. Without the noise and colour from The Reebok the game would be very dull indeed. We are looking for those people who really add to the whole match day experience for those around them.”
The person crowned the UK’s Wildest Fan will become TalkSport’s voice of the fans for the forthcoming World Cup. They will be a regular pundit on the station, commenting on England’s progression in Germany and summing up the feelings of the nation.
Vicki Franks, Brand Manager for Sure Sport For Men, said “ Sure Sport wanted to celebrate the fact that the World Cup is as much about the fans in the stands as it is the players on the pitch. To be crowned the UK’s Wildest Fan, the winner is going to have to prove that they are more passionate about their team than anyone else.”
*Where season tickets are unavailable there will be a cash alternative offered.
Fans can enter and vote on www.surewildestfan.co.uk
