Tony Berry – The most passionate man at The Reebok
Bolton’s most passionate fan announced
Tony Berry was today unveiled as Bolton’s most passionate fan following a month long vote. The search is being conducted by Sure Sport For Men as part of their hunt for the UK’s Wildest Fan.
Over the last four weeks competition has been fierce, fans entered in their thousands in a bid to be crowned the most passionate person in the stands. Tony came out top of the votes and goes into the next stage as the worthy Bolton representative.
Tony will now compete against the top fans from all the other Premiership teams to try and claim the ‘Wildest Fan’ crown, the eventual winner will become radio TalkSPORT’s official voice of the fans during the World Cup, the king of the stands and the most famous football fan in the country. Tony’s image is up on www.surewildestfan.co.uk along with all the contenders from all the other clubs, he now needs as many votes as possible to make it into the final stage of the competition.
A Bolton fan all his life Tony reckons he has what it takes to go all the way. His favourite goal was the Jay Jay Okocha screamer against West Ham and he named the crucial play off final win over Reading as his most memorable match. At Every game he gets behind the team with all his heart, kicks every ball, barks instructions to the team and sings himself hoarse – he’d go home and away even if Bolton were playing in The Conference. Unsurprisingly he lists Blackburn as his least favourite team.
Vicki Franks, Brand Manager for Sure Sport For Men, said “Sure Sport wanted to celebrate the fact that the World Cup is as much about the fans in the stands as it is the players on the pitch. To be crowned the UK’s Wildest Fan, the winner is going to have to prove that they are more passionate about their team than anyone else.”
Tony is hoping that all his fellow Bolton fans will get behind him and vote him into the top five.
