Sam Offers Bolton Reassurance

England managerial target Sam Allardyce has moved quickly to reassure local people that his future lies firmly with Bolton Wanderers.

Allardyce has been at the forefront of strong speculation in recent times as the Football Association look for a manager to replace current national boss Sven Goran Eriksson after this summers World Cup.

However, Allardyce says that his immediate priority is with his current club as he prepares to scout for new players at a match between Spanish sides Espanyol and Real Zaragoza later on this evening.

"I would like to reassure everyone connected with Bolton Wanderers that my immediate priority is to scour the length and breadth of Europe in the search for quality players that will improve our squad over the coming seasons," said Allardyce to the official website

"With that in mind, I will be in Spain this evening to watch the Copa del Rey match between Espanyol and Real Zaragoza to look at a number of potential recruits.

"My aim is to continue strengthening this football club so that we can continue to compete with the elite of English and European football."
