Sammy Hails Vaz-Te Breakthrough

Bolton assistant manager Sammy Lee beleives that young striker Ricardo Vaz-Te has all the attributes needed to become a big success in the Premiership.

Lee was speaking after seeing the teenager score his third Wanderers goal in four games during yesterday's end of season home win against Birmingham City and Lee says that the club are doing all they can to help the Portuguese youngster maximise his potential.

"Ricardo's potential is there for all to see. He has a number of assets and we are trying to make sure he utilises these assets." said Lee

"These are early days for him and he is still learning the game. If he keeps progressing he will have possibilities here."

Vaz-Te joined the Reebok ranks as a raw 16-year old in the summer of 2003 and was immediately tipped to become Bolton's answer to Wayne Rooney, but only this season has the quicksilver forward been able to show the watching public what he is all about.
