Fadiga To Bounce Back

Khalilou Fadiga's agent is predicting that his client will bounce back quickly following his exit from Bolton Wanderers earlier this week.

The former Senegal international captain was told that his current contract at the Reebok Stadium would not be renewed, leaving him free to look for a new club over the summer months.

Fadiga's agent Charles Collymore says that the player still has enough ability to compete at the top level and hasn't ruled out a move to another top flight English club.

Collymore also denies any theories that Fadiga was sacked and aimed to put the record straight following some inaccurate reports coming from certain section of the media.

"I'm very optimistic about Khali's return to top-flight football as soon as possible. He hasn't been released for any other reason than he's come to the end of his contract so we're looking at other options.

"He hasn't been fired or sacked and he's a bit upset with the way that's been reported. We're working hard to try to find an alternative offer and we're optimistic about doing that over the course of the next month or so.

"He's still got an awful lot to offer. He was the captain of his national team a year ago and maybe playing for more of a footballing side might help him. He's fit, healthy, raring to go and looking for something new, preferably in England."

Meanwhile another departing Wanderers player could be a target of Play Off Semi Finalists Preston North End. Matt Jansen is of interest to the Championship club after they lost fellow striker Brett Ormerod with a broken leg during this week's defeat against Leeds United.
