Gardner Is Our Player of the Year

Bolton Wanderers defender Ricardo Gardner has been named as the Walking Down the Manny Road Player of the Year by the website readers.

In a recent poll the Jamaican international claimed the majority of votes ahead of the likes of Kevin Nolan and Stelios Giannakopoulos who came second and third respectively.

The efforts of Jussi Jaaskelainen, Jay-Jay Okocha and Kevin Davies where also recognised by those who voted but neither could oust the top three from their positions in our two week poll.

Gardner has also collected the clubs official award for player of the season last week and has won numerous other awards besides. A fully deserved honour for the Wanderers second longest serving professional.

Meanwhile youngster Ricardo Vaz-Te scooped the April/May honour after scoring three goals in the last four games.
