Okocha Ponders Next Move

Former Bolton Wanderers skipper Jay-Jay Okocha has hinted that he may stay in English football following his release by the Trotters at the end of last season.

The 32-year old ended his four year stay at the Reebok Stadium last month and has as yet no real idea of where his next move will be although he is hoping to stay in England so not to cause too much distruption to his family.

Speaking to the Herald Sun newspaper the one time Nigerian international has ruled out a return to Germany to a country where he first shot to prominence with Eintract Frankfurt just over ten years ago.

"I don't know where I'll go next after Bolton Wanderers, but I certainly won't go back to Germany; I have to consider my family, my kids and wife first. stated Okocha.

The tricky midfielder also admitted that he was enjoying his work as a guest panelist for ITV television during the World Cup and joked that he could have found himself a new career.

"Right now, I'm enjoying what I'm doing for ITV; may be I have even found a new job as a journalist. I also have to consider my age in making a choice.

"I don't want to start moving my family and kids around. This period in important in their education."

A number of clubs have been linked to Okocha throughout the course of the summer but as yet no one has made any real contact with the former African Player of the Year winner.
