Moyes Angry at Everton Critics

David Moyes is angry that some people are criticizing his Everton side after only two games of the season. Everton may have lost their opening two games but Moyes believes his side are improving.

Everton have had a tough start to the season and have lost their first two games against Spanish outfit Villarreal in the Champions League 3rd round qualifier 1st leg, and also to Manchester United on the opening day of the Premiership season. These defeats have caused some sections of the media to believe that Everton will not be as successful as last season. Moyes however does not believe this to be the case.

"I think we have played very well and I am totally relaxed about the way we are playing, if we had gone in front against United, when Tim Cahill had that header saved, it would have been a totally different game."

"Most people would say we are better equipped than last year. Others nearby have spent a lot of money but still found it hard. I find it ridiculous that people should be criticising Everton."

"They might not like our style of play or the things we do but you can't say we are not getting better."

While Moyes would still like to add one or two more additions to his squad before the transfer deadline at the end of the month, he has added to his squad from last season. He has added a Danish International centre half in Per Kroldrup, a Welsh International in Simon Davies, the permanent signing of the popular Mikel Arteta and also Phil Neville from Manchester United who will bring experience, versatility as well as many other qualities to Everton.

David Moyes has every right to be angry at this criticism with a stronger squad than last season. But everyone in the media wrote his side off last season and everybody knows what happened after that.
