The week ending 21st August 2005

On the 15th of August a warning was issued to fans wishing to travel away to Villareal to obtain their tickets through official channels as it is beleived that many tickets are being sold to the English in Villareal's stand.

On August 17th it was announced officially that season ticket holders would have the opportunity to buy an away ticket for the next leg of the Champions League game against Villareal. Today also saw an official response from David Moyes stating that Marcus Bent was not available to sell as Charlton make a disclosed bid for his services.

The 18th of August saw Li Tie admitting that he was fighting to get fit and get back into the first 11 but admitted that he was scared of setting the injury off again. Since then Li has played a full 90 minutes in reserve team football with no problems.

Beattie's good start to the season was dashed on the 19th as it was announced that he would miss the away leg of the Champions league match due to injury. However, Simon Davies was given a boost as he is fighting his shin problem, with John Toschack naming Simon in his Wales squad to face England and Poland for the World Cup.

August 21st saw Everton's first three points of the season away to Bolton thanks to a solid and impressive back 4 and pure grit and determination by Everton to score through Marcus Bent, despite losing Pistone and Bent through injury. It is now understood that Pistone is now doubtful for the Champions League game on Wednesday. It was also discovered that David Moyes is interested in Fatih Tekke, a Turkish International striker but a bid has yet to be made.
