His first debut was against Crystal Palace last season and became the youngest ever Everton player to play first team football and capped off an impressive debut with a final goal in a 4-0 triumph over Palace.

The latest graduate from the youth academy, James Vaughan, has signed his first professional deal for Everton.

An interview with Vaughan on Evertonfc.com is certainly impressive as the youngster shows a lot of maturity, "I need to work hard in training and from here I have to see what happens but there is still a huge mountain to climb." He goes on to state that it would take a lot more to get into the first eleven and knows that he will have to prove himself in reserve team football and in training. This is a boost ahead of a tough schedule through to October including away to Arsenal, Tottenham and home to Chelsea.
