Moyes Speaks Out On Eve Of Bucharest Game

David Moyes speaks out on the side of the pitch at Dinamo Bucharest about the efforts of the players, the bad results and wishes of the UEFA cup competition lasting longer than Champions League competition.

Moyes spoke out about the forthcoming match against the Romanians and admitted that they are a decent team and losing this match would be very detrimental to the squad.

“I would be really disappointed if that were to happen,” he said.

“We worked really hard and had to stay in front of some really big teams last year to get 4th place when a lot of people said we wouldn’t do it.  It would be horrible now to lose that before the end of September.

“We are out of the Champions League and we would hate to be out of the Uefa Cup as well because we need this type of experience.”

“Saturday, compared with our other performances, was by far the worst but it was really out of context of the way we’ve been playing,”

“I feel we’ve been playing well but we’ve just not managed to get a goal when we’ve needed one. We created some chances against Portsmouth and while I wouldn’t say that we deserved to win the game on another day we could have got something from it.

“We need to start getting a little bit tougher and we have to make ourselves harder to beat and hopefully we will do in the coming weeks.”
