VDM Checks In....

The Flying Dutchman returned to football last night with an impressive debut for the Reserves. VDM showed the sort of touches, runs forward and crosses that the first team has been lacking in for some time.

Andy Holden replaced VDM with the imressive Andie Downs just under 70 minutes.

James Beattie and Per Kroldrup also played in the Reserve match, against Sunderland, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Beattie, who has been dogged with injuries, also played just under 70 minutes with no setback on his road to recovery. It is believed that Beattie will appear in the Chelsea match but so far any involvement of Kroldrup and VDM have so far been unconfirmed.
