On Friday, the FIA International Court of Appeal confirmed the result of the 2007 Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo. Almost a month after the final race of the 2007 Formula One season, the court rejected McLaren's appeal against an FIA stewarts' decision as inadmissable.

Consequently, the drivers' and constructors' classification is now final: With 61 and 39 points respectively to their tallies, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica finish fifth and sixth in the championship. In the Constructors' Championship, the BMW Sauber F1 Team ranks second with 101 points.
