BMW Sauber, fast laps masters

The BMW Sauber F1 Team has made its best ever start to a season, and leads the constructors' championship on 30 points. Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica are also at the head of the field when it comes to the fastest lap times. .
In lap 48 of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Nick showed just what potential
the BMW Sauber F1.08 has: he clocked what, at the time, was a fastest
lap time of 1:33.565 minutes. Only Heikki Kovalainen (McLaren) was able
to beat this time, and by just three tenths of a second, one lap later.
Robert, who finished in a podium position for the second time this
season at the "Bahrain International Circuit", clocked the fifth
fastest lap time (1:33.775 minutes).
At the second race of the season, the Malaysian Grand Prix, Nick
recorded the fastest lap, needing just 1:35.366 minutes to complete his
55th lap of the circuit in Sepang. This was faster than all the other
drivers.
At the curtain-raiser in Melbourne, Nick "only" achieved the third
fastest time. The German clocked a time of 1:27.739 seconds for lap 41
at the "Albert Park Circuit". Only Kovalainen and his team-mate Lewis
Hamilton were faster.
