Emile Heskey signs for Latics in £5.5million deal.

Wigan Athletic have signed Emile Heskey from Birmingham City for a club record £5.5million. Jewell was thrilled at the capture of a man who scored just 16 goals in 78 Birmingham appearances.
"This is a major coup for Wigan Athletic, make no mistake," said Jewell. "I have said all along I want to bring real quality performers into this club and Emile fits into that category.
