The Pascal Chimbonda Saga

Latics have turned down a £3million offer for Pascal Chimbonda from Tottenham Hotspurs and are asking for twice that amount.
Chimbonda's performances have led to him being named in the PFA's Premiership team of the season and he has also won a call up to the
Paul Jewell told the club's official website: "Tottenham have made a bid but it has been firmly rejected. We are not being unrealistic.
"Look at every other player on the PFA team and try and place a value on their heads. We have made it clear that we do not want Pascal to leave, but we will not stand in his way if the right offer comes along.
"Pascal has done very well for us and we recognise that, but if it wasn't for this club taking a chance on him last summer, he would not be attracting such interest now.
"I have a responsibility to ensure that any deal for the player has to be right for Wigan Athletic".
Chimbonda meanwhile has thanked Jewell for helping him get his
