Gareth Jones has been at the club since 1987 and he is still in the game! Whilst his playing career in the fisrt team was short due to injury, he must be the longest serving rugby man still involved in the front line.
Gareth Jones

Gareth, affectionately known as Chuggsie, has been with the club for a long time and must be the longest serving member of the set up still involved on a day to day basis on the playing side. Whilst his main role for the club is on the Warriors side keeps his eye open at local clubs for potential talent for the Brickfields outfit. He can also be seen at many 1st team matches providing a supporting role to Graham and the other coaches.
He started his playing career in the club as an inside centre, He has played in other positions but tells me that the only position he did not play in the back line was wearing the number 9 shirt.
Gareth started at Albion playing under 19, colts level, in 1987. He played two seasons for the colts the second of these he also played for the "Extras", the equivalent of today's Warriors.
Gareth then played regular for the Extras making his first team debut against Exeter in 1990/1. His career did not last long as he suffered from a number of knee injuries playing his last game against Camberley somewhere around 1991/2.
With 4 operations on his knee he needed to make a clean break from the club. This lasted just two years before he was seen again. He returned to look after the 3rd team known as United. They played mainly mid week fixtures which had more of a social side.
When Graham Dawe came on the scene Gareth started to look after the second team where he has been ever since. He now takes on the role of coaching the apprentices and community coaching.
