Winners and losers of the season ticket prices
By Frank Stormont
June 6 2011
Whilst the match day and normal season ticket prices have remained unchanged VP membership has been reduced by upto 10% and early bird prices have increased by over 5%.Check out the deal of the season in VP membership. The Blue terrace is up for the same price as ground.
The winners and losers for
season tickets and VP membership!
The basic prices remain the same for the 2011/12 season but single VP members gain. Also the those that buy season ticket under the early bird system will not save as much as they did last season. The reduction is 10% rather than the 15% for last season.
I have no information on family tickets or whether the 6 4 5 offer is still in place. (last season you could buy 6 tickets for a match for the price of 5!)
Another winner is there is no premium for use of the blue terrace!
| Single match | Ground & N Terrace | Redrow | Eric John |

| Senior/Student | £10 * | £13 * | £15 * |
| U16 | £1 | £9 * | £11 * |
| * £1 off if purchased before noon on the day before match No change from last season | |||
| Season Ticket | Ground & N Terrace | Redrow | Eric John |
| Adult | £175.50 (£195) | £216 (£240) | £243 (£270) |
| Senior/Student | £121.50 (£135) | £157.50 (£175) | £184.50 (£205) |
| U16 | £13.50 (£15) | £103.50 (£115) | £126 (£140) |

The big savings are there for single VP membership which gives you a really good deal when you take into account the other benefits.
VP Rates reduced for 2011/12
| no allocated seat | allocated seat in Eric John | |
| Single | £290 (£315) | £340 (£377) |
| Couple | £500 (£485) | £600 (£620) |
| 400 Club (3 year price) | ||
| Single | £870 (£1,085) | £1,020 (£?) |
| Couple | £1,500 (£1,580) | £1,800 (£?) |
( ) Prices in brackets are those found for last season
Deal of the season is the VP at just £290 you get the pre season match(es), free car park and 20% off shop purchases. Assuming you go to every match by car and buy just one shirt in the shop this season this could be worth £70 plus! This would easily give you a saving of more than £20 on the early bird price. You may not have an allocated seat but you can pick where you want from week to week.
Other information. You can pay for you season ticket/VP membership over 3 months if you pay by cheque. (4 equal payments with one month between each)
Also if you own a debenture seat and would like a member of family or friend to sit next to you you can buy a match day ticket for these seats provided they are not already allocated.

Given the parking and shop benefits outlined above, there does appear to be such a thing as a free lunch. Two in fact.
Quite how you reconcile "Exclusive" and "alllbion" users escapes me for the moment, though. Maybe it's something to do with the "Vice" bit...

If it's 6th June now and the season starts...
Also shouldn't we expect 3 home games in the B&I cup next season?

It's not crystal clear, but does state 2 x H, 2 x A ties... Where both teams are English C'ship (ie. Albion v Pirates), it will be midweek.
Only 2 Scottish sides this year, so presume we lose that one and keep Leinster...
