Nat cofirms he is staying!

Nat confirsm he has agreed to stay at Plymouth Albion for next season.
Plymouth Albion are delighted to announce that Nat Saumi has agreed terms on a new contract which sees the popular Fijian remain at the Club for next season in the capacity of Head Coach and Director of Rugby.
Club Chairman Graham Stirling and Maurice West, Director said: “The Board is extremely pleased to announce that Nat has agreed to accept the permanent role of Head Coach and Director of Rugby for at least another season. Nat has a proven history with the Club and his abilities are well known and respected in the Rugby arena. We are convinced he is the right person to take the club forward. He has demonstrated that he has the coaching and man management skills the Club needs in order to progress and he is highly thought of by the players and the rest of the coaching staff. The timing of the appointment is important to give the playing squad stability and confidence for the play-off stage of this season and, equally important, as we progress our plans for next season”.
Nat has worked closely with the Board of Directors to help secure the future of Albion, he supports the Board’s commitment to ensure the continuation of Championship rugby in the City and is keen to work with them to implement change and in order to make steady progression for this long established club.
Saumi who is qualified as a Level 4 Coach has spent nearly 16 years playing and coaching in the UK all of which have been spent in the South West. Prior to joining Albion Nat was two years at Redruth before going to Cornish Pirates for 5 years; he is now in his 9th year at Albion.
“I am delighted to be staying at Albion and to work with the players and Board to move the Club forward for the play offs and the 2012/13 season. I am looking forward to rising to the challenge of fulfilling the post of Head Coach and Director of Rugby for the first time”.

All of which is by the by. Thanks for making this huge commitment, Nat. It means we can put the Pete Drewitt screw-up well and truly behind us behind us and look to the future with a whole lot more confidence.
