B&I Cup 2014/5 - Round 4
Pre-Season III?

After all the excitement (and fall-out) from last weekend's game in Leeds, Albion find themselves once more in St Peter this Friday evening for the return leg of B&I Pool 5. With nothing to play for in the competition itself, the next three games will surely be used for consolidation to get the league campaign back on track. The two recent C'ship games have shown the side to be capable of putting solid play together; it's now just a question of stretching it out to 80 mins - and keeping a full complement on the field.
All the other teams are P3, W2 so it will be interesting to see how they respond to a chance to progress to the QFs. Jersey are still in the top half of the league table and may decide to keep their powder dry for that competition. Teamwise, there are plenty of question marks. At No. 2 we have only Sam Matavesi available due to injury and suspension, but there are media reports of a new arrival in the offing. As the Canadian european tour is now over, it remains to be seen if Brett and Andy will be rested before returning to the fray. Toby H-B was out for the count according to eye witness reports from Headingley after a collision with Lawrence Rayner. No word on either as yet. On the plus side, Declan Cusack made his return (complete with mini-break) against Yorkshire, will he be given a start?

This was after an eleventh hour comeback. If Briz can't get promoted on current formm, when will they?
