National League 1 - 2015-6 Wk 5

Apologies for a late and shorter preiview of the Nat 1 programme - blame an uforeseen trip to the Millenium to see Fiji put the squeeze on Wales two days ago. And now, it's back on the road as I join the travelling contingent from Albion as we make the trip to the Butts Park Arena to support the team. Coventry was the very first away game I attended back in 2004/5, so it's with a certain amount of nostalgia that I will be boarding the coach at Home Park this weekend. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since those days, with both clubs suffering financial and sporting downturns in the meantime.
The fact is we meet again for the first time in several years one league down where Coventry finished among the leaders last April - just behind Ealing and Rosslyn Park. But Nat 1 is a curious beast. As Henley held last week's leaders Ampthill to a 14 - 14 draw, Coventry's campaign took a severe blow in a torrid afternoon at Richmond (see the report elsewhere on this board.) There are no easy games here and while the pundits see an Albion win on the road as unlikely (5:1 against!), the trip to the Midlands holds few surprises for the supporters. At least we won't have to endure the adverse weather that saw a narrow win to us as both sides slugged it out in multiple shades of brown.
Check out the links to the press and you'll see that we have some of our casualties back and new boy from France, Gregory Sebastien will pull on an Albion shirt for the first time. With that in mind, I'm backing us again for a narrow win - that elusive try bonus will have to wait for another weekend.
