Christmas Eve brunch at Albion

By noibla.
January 2 2016

This years traditional Christmas Eve brunch was again held in the clubhouse and was once more well attended with some 50 odd place settings being laid, and all credit to the hard working kitchen staff the occasion was very well received and much appreciated.

Functions such as this are of course all part of the traditional rugby club itinerary and part of the important long term objective to bring this atmosphere back to our club.

Another part of this is of course the monthly lunches that Vince organizes under the banner of the "200 club" which is for ALL SUPPORTERS of Albion in whatever capacity they maybe and are enjoyed by a large cross section of supporters, held usually on the first Wednesday of the month and are also well attended with growing numbers culminating in the year end Christmas luncheon early in December along with masses of prizes and vouchers accumulated thoughout the year, see the unofficial web site for details of dates etc.

Although this months 200 club luncheon has been omitted from the diary being close to the Christmas period, the 200 club are sponsoring the next home game against Hull Ionians on the 9th. January and as part of this they have taken bookings for a pre match meal in keeping with these get togethers for the supporters, this function is being held in the old Redrow stand, the East stand to most of us, the name remains a constant whoever is sponsoring the stand, and at just £10 a head for a main course with cheese and bisquits to follow has proved very popular, and Vince says is a sell out the tickets going very quickly with over a hundred in attendance. This is certainley something to look forward to and makes a welcome addition to our match day experience.

I'm hoping to have a report on this event soon after with a few photo's as well.

Thank you everyone.

Well done Abion the room was well done up and the food was first class with maybe a little to many options on offer, none the less a very successful event.
More of the same please Albion
