The "200 Club" BBQ luncheon kicks off the new regime

The first monthly luncheon of the revamped 200 club was a BBQ meal held in the YGS marquee on the clubhouse patio on the 2nd. August with a good attendance of over forty folk. This was my first time for one of the regular monthly lunches, partly because as I normally go the annual BBQ functions I thought this was a repeat of the old annual function and again I wanted to be there for the first get together of the "new" set up.

As I said it was was well supported and I can throughly recomend it to those who have thought of going but not yet made it, well worth the effort to spend time with your fellow supporters and keep uptodate on the gossip from the club.

I am very pleased that the 200 club are totaly independant from the club and will be keeping their own affairs separately and be in total control of where they wish to spend their own members money, however they decide to make those choices rather than hand over funds not knowing the outcome of them, brilliant. I can say that the FAB group of volounteers have in the past been extremely grateful to recieve funds with which to purchase tools etc with which to carry out certain maintenance on the ground every year. Long may that choice be one in the control of the 200 club.

If you enjoy  a social get together for a meal a drink and a chat why not contact the 200 club and go along on the first Wednesday in the month and support the club at the same time.

I wasnt aware the 200 Club stopped just changed hands! will the new managers now organise the monthly & Xmas lunch & prize draw that we had last year.

Of course nothing has changed, and I think Vince is already making plans for the Xmas lunch, along with the new owners of course.

The only "change", as I understand it, is that the previous credit bank balance of the former 200 club was swallowed up in the administration.
