A view from….. LOUGHBOROUGH…?

Yes you saw it, we were at Loughborough this weekend. We are attending a family funeral and being the other end of the country we thought we’d visit the bottom of the table clash with Loughborough Students and Bishops Stortford.
Entry prices were reasonable £10 fir Adults and £8 for Consessions/Students. We were made very welcome by all, we said we were a bit late for our game and hearing of the recent ‘spying’ in Leeds United Football, we had good banter about which players and the calls of ‘Apples’… cider is much better. We headed for the bar, and a pint of… TETLEYS, when up north you have to adapt!
I saw the famous ‘G’ pitch, was interesting to see where the ball bounced, and balls that would have possibly bounced in touch on a mud field, bounced inside on the ‘G’ pitch. The game was full on, each side giving their all and it was end to end stuff. Although in my humble opinion Bishops Stortford has awesome defence, and when in attack the players with the ball was supported very closely by at least 2 players, was a good game to see. If picking out a man of the Match, for Loughborough number 9, he seemed to be everywhere on the pitch and involved in everything, for Bishops Stortford their number 4, pushing through lots of tackles and making most of opportunities.
