Round 11 - Albion v Cambridge

This Saturday Albion entertain Cambridge.

Currently lying in 7th. 5 places and 10 points above Albion, Cambridge had a poor start to the season, losing their 3 opening games. Since then, they are unbeaten although have been held to a draw a couple of times. And of those losses, all of them were against teams currently in the top 4.

Amongst their numbers is Benjamin Brownlie the league's leading try scorer with 15. Our own Alex Drucker is 2nd with 9 following last weekends antics. It should be noted that Mr Brownlie is a hooker, which gives an indication of their style of play.

It's going to be difficult to score against Cambridge as they have the third best defence in the league, they also stay fairly steady throughout their games, indicating a strong bench.

Cambridge also boast the second best disciplinary record in the league having accrued just 3 yellows.

Cambridge are going to bring a strong game and likely to come out on top. Albion will need to play at their best and keep the ball away from the Cambridge pack.

Weather, dry, overcast with a light breeze towards the clubhouse. Mild.

Forecast - A win for Cambridge, by a significant margin if Albion falter.

Oh dear - another disappointing performance.

A story of missed opportunities. Will no-one learn not to thrown long to an attacking line-out in the red zone. Anyone recall what happened in the last season we 'stuck' to this flawed tactic?

Albion's match report (below)

A disappointing result.

This suggests that line-outs (and injury) were major factors.
