Catch up Round 14 - Albion v Leeds
By Dark Prophet
February 3 2022
After week off Albion return to deal with some unfinished business from Round 14.
Welcoming Leeds Tykes to Brickfields, Albion again need to build on their unrewarded perfomance against Sale. This is not completely unimaginable as Leeds, currently in 12th and a single point ahead of Albion in the league, have also struggled to put together a consistent campaign this season, with only one of their 5 wins achieved on the road.
Despite Leeds standing in the League, Albion have outscored Leeds by 347 to 307 with 47 tries to their 39. A similar story is told by points conceded. It appears that Leeds like to come out of the blocks quickly in the first half, but leave opportunities open to their opposition, conceding most of their points in the same half.
Strangely, for a side dwelling in the bottom half of the league, Leeds have only accrued 5 cards, one of which was red - the least in the league.
As ever, home support will add a significant element to the game, which should, on paper and on 'best' performance, go Albion's way, but with consistency being somewhat of a elusive spirit for both sides Leeds will target this game to lift them away from the bottom.
Weather - Dry, cloudy with a fresh gusty breeze. Slightly warmer than average for time of year at 10°.
Forecast Albion win taking 5 points.
