Match preview: Albion v Sale FC

September 12 2022
At last National 1 rugby returns to Plymouth with the first home game of the season against Sale FC.
After two games, Sale appear to be making a bold statement of intent following last seasons 3rd place finish, having dispatched Birmingham Moseley and Leeds to put themselves at the top of the league.
Whilst Moseley and Leeds are currently placed at the bottom of the League, Albion should provide more of a challenge particularly after registering their first win of the season against Taunton and gaining two points at Cambridge.
There is certainly an impression that Albion are stronger this season and whilst the pre-season friendly exposed some shortcomings, Ablion are on an upward curve.
Expect Sale to bring a fast running game with plenty of offloads and short an attacking kicking game.
Player to watch is their new winger Samuel Abu who is leading the try scoring table along with our very own Alex Ducker with 4
Weather dry but overcast with a gentle northerly breeze.
Prediction: Sale's backs to overrun Albion's defence and take home 5, Albion to settle for a TBP.
