Round 13 - Albion v Leeds Tykes (rescheduled)
By Dark Prophet
February 2 2023
This weekend we welcome back Leeds for the arranged "Big Freeze" fixture of round 13.
Leeds in 12th place are in the midst of another relegation battle haA win last week against Hull ended a run of 9 games without a win, although they have started to pick up a few bonus points.
Albion, on the other hand, haven't had back to back wins since October but have won all their home fixtures with the exception of the first home fixture against Sale.
Whilst Leeds are not the most prolific in scoring tries most of them have come from the backs, although those backs have also allowed a lot of tries against them. Furthermore, opportunities should arise for Albion's front row.
Referee for the day should be Iain Kiy who officiated at the aforementioned match against Sale and also the disappointing Esher visit. Mr Kiy is averaging 2 cards per game, one of the more liberal disciplinarians.
Rounding up, this should be a comfortable win for Albion, particularly if they can stay on the right side of the Referee.
Weather: a cloudy day with temperatures reaching 10°C with a gentle breeze from the SW.
Forecast: Albion to secure 5 points
Other games of interest:
Chinnor v Bishop's Stortford - Chinnor will be looking to get there resurgency back on track following their loss at Albion last weekend. A victory for them BS's loss would be Albion's gain as it provides an opportunity to widen the gap to 7th.
