New Player Signings

Plymouth Albion have been wonderful to release the names of new signings when they occur, there are also players staying, so for this week the new joiners, apologies if anyone left out  I can always update next week to keep the site alive) if we don’t post a story every few weeks the site shuts down)   For extra points guess what year the picture is from :)    

Welcome back to Herbie Stupple, a great ambassador both on and off the field.  Herbie stuck with Plymouth Albion through the good times and the bad, being one of the teams backbones for 13 years and making over 200 appearances and had his testimonial in the 21/22 season.  Herbie suffered a very nasty jaw injury in pre-season last year and left Plymouth Albion in October.  We all thought that would be it, Herbie started playing again for Wadebridge Camels where again he was a good ambassador, making 13 appearances for them last season scoring 6 tries over the season.  A Cornishman through and through we hope that Herbie gets his passport up to date to re-cross the Tamar Bridge.

Another Cornishman joining Plymouth Albion is Jago Sheppard.  Jago is former Exeter Chiefs academy who played for Camborne last season.  Jago helped towards the thrilling game against Redruth where Redruth and Camborne ended in a 19-19 draw.  Jago has played for his county, under 20’s Cornwall and blossoming forwards coach as well.

A different passport needed for Welsh Back-Row Ben Moa who has played with Dragons, Newport and Pontypool.  Ben has also represented his Country playing for Wales in the U20s 6 nations in 2022

No passport needed for another back Frankie Dart.  Born in the Devon, played in Japan at the Sanix World Championship for Exeter College.  Last season Frankie played for Taunton and also has a management role in the Exeter Chiefs’ Community Coaching department.
