Round 25: Albion v Esher
By Dark Prophet
April 7 2025
The last home game of the season is upon us as Albion host Esher.
Esher lie 12th in the league and are destined to return to N2E after a 19-59 defeat to Birmingham Moseley last weekend, the latest of 7 losses.
Esher have scored a respectable 91 tries so far thus season, 4 more than Albion. However their defence has been the worst of the league, shipping 151 tries and likely to reach over 1000 points conceded for the season this weekend.
It is from the back line that Esher have scored the majority of their tries so Albion will need to be aware of this threat, but with the weakness of their forwards, Albion's pack should be able to keep in tight and control the game.
Weather forecast (as at Fri 11th) :Overcast possibility of showers more so earlier in the afternoon, 14°. A gentle breeze blowing from the clubhouse end.
Prediction: Comfortable win for Albion.
Other games of note:
Rotherham v Richmond - Richmond are 10 points clear of their nearest rivals, Rosslyn Park, so only need to secure one point to earn promotion to the Championship.
Leicester V Blackheath - A loss for Blackheath, albeit unlikely, against due to be relegated Lions, could allow Albion to recover 4th position.
