Round 1: Leeds Tykes v Albion

The season starts off properly this weekend and unfortunately it is the longest trip Albion will make as they make their way to take on Leeds Tykes in Bramhope.

Leeds earnt promotion from League 2 North by winning 24 of 26 fixtures, and earning 22 try bonus points in the process.

Albion will be looking to get off to a good start and lay the foundations for a competitive season, however history is a little against them as they have not won a round 1 fixture since 2016. Also, the Tykes will be looking to make a strong statement of intent having spent the last 2 seasons at level 4.

Weather - dry with sunny spells with a gentle breeze from the southern corner of the peach.

Forecast - Albion should win, but could be (yet another) banana skin.
