Round 3: Bishop's Stortford v Albion

Albion will face a tougher test as they travel to East Hertfordshire to take on Bishop's Stortford.  

Bishop Stortford had a less than impressive season last year finishing in 9th after a poor start losing 3 of their first four games, the rest of the season was similarly inconsistent, although they did finish with a flourish putting in a run of 5 wins in the last 6 games. They lost both fixtures against Albion last season.

Currently 6th, Stortford won comfortably against Mose, but lost out to Blackheath after a late penalty for Club took the score to 33-31. Over the two fixtures they have scored 8 tries, three of which have come from the wings, and conceded 7. Early indications suggest that they are stronger each side of half time.

This match will provide a better indicator of Albion's strengths and weaknesses after facing two of the three new teams promoted from the 4th tier.

Albion will need to take every opportunity they get and try and put the game beyond Stortford before they settle into the game. The pack may see a lot of the action, as they have so far, but nailing the lineouts will make things a lot easier.

Player to watch - Jake Morris - a utility back absent for much of last season, featured in three games on his return scoring 4 tries. This season already has 2.

Weather: Dry with sunny intervals. The wind will pick up again for the game with a moderate breeze blowing in from the southern end of the pitch.

Forecast: A win for Albion but could be close.
